How a Poor Diet Can Cause Hair Loss

The fact that there is a direct correlation between your diet and hair loss is often not the first thing that comes to mind when faced with the loss of hair. For men, male pattern baldness is prevalent and so the cause of hair loss is put down to genetics. While it may be true that genetic and hereditary factors do often play a part in hair loss, it does not mean there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it.

When you look at how your diet can cause you to lose hair, it starts to make sense that healthy eating can promote healthy hair. The scalp is just the same as the skin on the rest of the body, in that it needs nutrients to stay healthy. These nutrients must come from the food you eat, and without them the scalp will function poorly when it comes to hair growth.
